GET AHEAD OF THE FUTURE: IMPROVE YOUR TEAMS’ TIME, SPACE AND ENERGY MANAGEMENT WITH OUR FUN, PIONEERING CHALLENGE CONCEPTS

Our half-day or full-day challenges give 30 to 50 people the chance to experience the mobility of the future at the wheel of the Tesla Roadster – the world’s leading all-electric sports car.

The challenges will change the way you think about cars, and allow you to sample tomorrow’s world of motoring today.

Strong team bonds are as important to motor racing teams as they are to businesses. Erik Comas knows this better than most, and the similarities between the two worlds are at the core of our Team Building challenges. A motor racing team is only as strong as its weakest link, and the same is true for businesses.

Competition is the best teacher when it comes to accepting failure and growing stronger from it. Most of us lose more than we win. So it is important to learn how to bounce back from each defeat and improve – TOGETHER.

Enable your employees to work together better by choosing one of our engaging team-based challenges. Competitive tasks are the most effective way to create team spirit and a sense of belonging – two factors that drive business success. Our team-building challenges aim to improve:

  • Bonds between your employees
  • Communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Organisational skills
  • Team performance
  • Ability to delegate
  • Trust and confidence
  • Thought and reflection
  • Team problem solving
  • Understanding of others and their needs
  • Team togetherness
  • Stress management
  • Adherence to corporate culture
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Collective decision-making

1: CAR RELAY RACE

A one-day activity, scalable for 30 to 50 participants

DESCRIPTION:

Participants are divided into three, four or five teams of six to ten members, depending on numbers. Each team is given one of the five Tesla Roadsters.
Just like in a standard relay race, every team member must give their best performance to try to help their team win. This involves managing time (set limit for each stage), space (pre-defined route monitored via GPS) and electrical energy consumption, measured in watt-hours per kilometre.
Each car carries two team members, and completes one lap of the route before returning to the start. The next pair then takes the wheel and continues the relay, and so on. In the meantime, the other team members take a quiz to test their knowledge and gain access to essential stage instructions, which they must then communicate to the co-driver. To win, teams must optimise their driving over every stage (three to five stages depending on participant numbers) while respecting the time limits for each stage, managing their energy (measured in watt-hours per kilometre) and sticking to the pre-defined route (on-board GPS provided).

THE RULES:

  •  3, 4 or 5 teams, depending on participant numbers (max 50 people)
  •  3, 4 or 5 stages, depending on participant numbers (max 50 km, 31 miles)
  • Each stage is divided into 5 special stages
  • Each team must complete all 5 stages
  • 3 tasks (2 people per task, excluding the quiz)
  • Every team member has a turn with each task

TASK 1: THE QUIZ (2 TO 4 PEOPLE)

For this task, team members are tested on their knowledge of cars, their business or other subjects. There are five questions, and each correct answer allows the team to access additional directions for the special stage route (note: there are five special stages per stage). The quiz-takers then share those directions with the ‘communicators’. If a question is not answered correctly, the team is unable to continue and the car remains immobilised.

TASK 2: COMMUNICATION

Using their mobile phone, ‘communicators’ have the difficult task of transmitting directions to their team navigator as clearly as possible.

TASK 3: DRIVER AND CO-DRIVER

The driver and co-driver must respect the information relayed to them by their team-mates, and ensure they consume as little energy as possible while observing the rules of the road.
The team that completes the five stages within the allotted time, consumes the least energy and respects the designated route, is declared the winner.

PRICES

From 200 CHF per person for half a day.

From 400 CHF per person for a full day (lunch included)

2: ‘BLIND’ RALLY

A one-day challenge designed for 20 participants

DESCRIPTION:

Participants are divided into five teams of four, with each team given a Tesla Roadster.
The winning team is the one that manages to optimise its driving behaviour the most effectively, while respecting pre-defined time, energy and mileage requirements.
This activity is the perfect way to test and improve trust and communication between members of a team, as it requires one group to act as guides for the other.

THE RULES:

MORNING STAGE:

Two routes are devised, with both routes leading to the same end point. Some teams follow route A, while others follow route B.
The pair aboard the Tesla Roadster do not know the route. It is down to the rest of the team to guide the driver and co-driver using the roadbook they are given at the start of the day.

AFTERNOON STAGE:

Team members swap roles for the afternoon stage. The team that had been navigating now takes the wheel and tackles the route that the opposing team followed in the morning.
The team that completes the two stages within the allotted time, consumes the least energy and respects the designated route, is declared the winner.

PRICES

150 CHF per person for half a day

300 CHF per person for a full day
